Toyota's quake-hit Yaris plant offline for at least another month
Wed, 30 Mar 2011Toyota's quake-hammered Miyagi assembly plant, which makes the Yaris small car for export to the United States, is expected to be offline for at least another month. Workers have completed repairs at the factory and restored electricity, but the facility cannot get supplies of natural gas, a person familiar with the situation said. The assessment underscores the long road facing Toyota and other Japanese automakers in bringing plants back into full operation following the deadly quake, which killed more than 11,000 people, ruptured gas lines, shutdown electric grids and snarled logistics across half the country.
The most expensive Ferrari ever sold at auction
Mon, 19 Aug 2013A new record price was set at Pebble Beach this weekend when the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S NART Spider pictured here became the most expensive Ferrari ever sold at auction. That isn’t the same as saying it’s the most expensive Ferrari ever, but the NART Spider is an extraordinarily special piece of Prancing Horse history. Join us as we explore what makes this particular car so important, and take a closer look at one of the most valuable cars in the world.
Crucified cassette, Hindi BMW remix CD and other junkyard musical finds

In fact, it would be possible to go into just about any high-inventory-turnover self-service wrecking yard in North America and come away with several dozen such discs and tapes, if anybody ever felt motivated to do such a thing. I haven't, yet.
