Official: MSN Cars helps Vauxhall set multiple world records!

Vauxhall has become an official World Speed Record holder after the FIA and MSA confirmed an average speed of more than 125mph in its 3,000-mile 24-hour speed trial event. The news also means that MSN Cars contributor Richard Aucock has become a World Speed Record holder – he was one of the drivers in the team of 12 that piloted the two cars around Bedfordshire’s Millbrook Proving Ground late last autumn. Porsche Cayenne Diesel – it’s official

We all wondered how long it would take for Porsche to bite the bullet and give in to the diesel bandwagon. Well, it’s happened. Porsche has officially announced today that the Porsche Cayenne diesel will go on sale in Europe in February 2009.

Ferrari 458 Italias ‘selling for £200k in UK’

The first examples of the new Ferrari 458 Italia supercar are trading for close to £200,000, price guide Glass’s Guide reports today. It claims wealthy enthusiasts are paying a £25,000 premium to jump the queue and get into one of the first 458s in Britain. The Italia lists at £169,545 in the UK, with first deliveries due for summer 2010.
