New Ford Mondeo ECOnetic announced
Tue, 16 Jun 2009Ford has introduced a 2.0 litre version of the Mondeo ECOnetic We wouldn’t for a minute expect Ford to take the slightest bit of notice of us, but they have announced the launch of a second Ford Mondeo ECOnetic toady – this time an even ‘Greener’ version – so they’re going in the right direction! The new Ford Mondeo ECOnetic sports a 2.0 litre, 115bhp diesel engine which achieves a remarkable 54.3mpg (and remember, the Mondeo weighs in at over 1500kg). It manages to slip in to the sub 140g/km CO2 bracket – making it VED (Band E- £120pa) and company car tax friendly – and comes as either a saloon or estate.
Honda Civic Wagon estate concept to debut at Geneva

From what the sketch shows us, we can see a prominent crease hanging over the rear wheelarches along with a sloping roofline with integrated rear spoiler. At the rear we also get a glimpse the lamp arrangement, which runs the width of the car.
Next-generation Chevy Volt to have 60-mile electric range?
Mon, 12 Aug 2013On the heels of the recently announced price cut for the 2014 Volt, General Motors chief executive Dan Akerson is suggesting that we may see a Volt with 60-mile electric range in three or four years. In an interview with Bloomberg, Akerson suggests that GM is hoping for a "significant" improvement in the extended-range Chevy's ability to run solely on electric power. “For something to be significant to me, I gotta get at least 20 percent improvement in performance," the CEO asserted.
