Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-400 released
Wed, 27 May 2009Mitsubishi has released the fastest Evo in the UK market - the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-400 And now it’s getting really serious. The 2.0 litre, turbocharged MIVEC engine in the FQ-400 will propel this four-door saloon to 60mph in around 3.7 seconds. That’s on a par with a Nisan GT-R, a Ferrari F430 and significantly quicker than an Aston Martin DBS.
A heavy key chain may deactivate the airbags in your Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5
Thu, 13 Feb 2014GM is recalling 788,000 Cobalt and Pontiac G5 sedans for a potentially deadly problem with the ignition system. When the vehicles' keys are connected to heavy key chains (or, say, key rings laden with a dozen extra keys), a sufficiently extreme jolt or impact could shift the ignition out of the "run" position and into the "off" position. Cuts electrical power to the vehicles' systems, in turn deactivating the airbags.
Autoweek's Best of the Best/Truck finalists for 2014
Thu, 31 Oct 2013Every year, hundreds of new cars and trucks pass through our fleet for evaluation, and we're always on the lookout for those dazzling few deserving more careful scrutiny for our top honors: The Autoweek Best of the Best. We strive to do our judging under the radar with as little manufacturer knowledge as possible. We test for the Best of the Best by checking drivetrain, ride quality, handling, exterior styling and the like.
