Thu, 04 Sep 2014The New Jaguar XE final video tease (probably) Jaguar has been working hard to build excitement for the new XE – effectively a replacement for the old X-Type to take on the might of Audi, Mercedes and BMW in the compact saloon sector – and we’ve had no end of teases in the last few months. But now, with the debut of the Jaguar XE in a marketing extravaganza in London on Monday (8 September) Jaguar has released what we expect will be the final tease for the new XE. What we get is a 15 second overview of Jaguar’s current cars, interspersed with snippets of views of the new XE and a sound track that seems to include the exhaust note of the new XE too.

Wed, 30 Oct 2013The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. We have no idea how old Pang Qing Hua is, but he’s old enough to have amassed a few bob from owning a huge car distribution network in China, and is flush with cash from a recent floating.
