Mercedes C-class shown
Fri, 09 Mar 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 09 March 2007 01:08 Mercedes Vision C220 Bluetec: the lowdown Mercedes' bigger, better and cleaner new C-class hogged centre stage at the DaimlerChrysler stand. The C is the bedrock of Merc's range and the company rolled out a slew of derivatives to mark the occasion - including the Vision C220 Bluetec, the first four-cylinder diesel with Merc's clean-breathing tech. Vision is a tag for Stuttgart's concepts that are a dead cert for the showrooms, so expect something very like this soon.
McLaren to bring F1 GTR, LM and Longtail to Goodwood
Tue, 18 Jun 2013McLaren is taking the 24 Hours of Le Mans off this year -- actually, it has taken the last 14 years off -- and is instead concentrating on a British tradition: the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company confirmed it would bring the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR to take on the hill this year. It will be joined by the one-off prototype McLaren F1 LM, as well as the Gulf-liveried McLaren F1 GTR Longtail, which claimed second place in 1997.
Audi RS7 Sportback (2013) first official pictures
Tue, 15 Jan 2013This is the new Audi RS7 Sportback, just unveiled at the 2013 Detroit auto show. It's an A7 Sportback given the hardcore RS treatment, meaning a 552bhp and 516lb ft 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 that will sprint the RS7 to 62mph in 3.9sec. That's faster than the latest Porsche 911 – it seems life just got a bit harder for the Mercedes CLS63 AMG and BMW M6 Gran Coupe.
