Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 first of string of new Peugeot hybrids

Peugeot will launch the new 3008 HYbrid4 crossover in autumn 2011 as the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car - and it's the first in a string of hybrid cars coming from Peugeot and Citroen. The 3008 HYbrid4 will be followed by a brace of 508 hybrids in spring 2011, and engineers have told CAR that any car on the mid-sized PF2 and full-sized PF3 platforms can use the same innovative electric 4wd architecture.  Although pricey at £26,995, Peugeot expects to sell 10,000 of the 3008 HYbrid4 in its first full year and the parent group PSA Peugeot Citroen is targeting 100,000 annual sales of hybrids as soon as 2015. Ken Block thrills Gymkhana fans in Austria

Ford action-motorsports star Ken Block says he was thrilled after more than 25,000 fans attended the first stop of his Gymkhana World Tour in Vienna, Austria, on July 17. The American Internet sensation--his Gymkhana series represents some of the most-viewed videos on YouTube--is combining his World Rally Championship campaign with his three-event tour, which will also make stops in Los Angeles and in Melbourne, Australia. "Ever since we filmed the first Gymkhana video, I have wanted to be able to bring this type of action to a place where people can watch it live, and Gymkhana World Tour does exactly that," Block said.

College Exhibition: Strate College Degree Show 2007

Strate College hosted its annual Degree Show on June 21st, displaying the assorted works from students graduating from the Industrial Design programs.The celebrations began on the eve of the graduation ceremony at a chic venue in the heart of Paris's Champs Elysees, where montages of the students work played in a slideshow projected behind the bar. At the school the next day, all fifteen students from the Transportation Design program presented their work in an exhibit that spanned two rooms. Frederic Corazza created 'Searth', a vehicle to connect the sprawling artificial islands currently being built around the city of Dubai.
