Landing Gear Door Latch Hydraulic Cylinder North American F-101 Voodoo on 2040-parts.com
Medford, Massachusetts, United States
For auction is a double acting hydraulic cylinder manufactured by North American Aviation. I bought it many years at an aviation surplus store in California. I was told by an aviation aficionado that it is the hydraulic latch for the main gear door of an F-101 Voodoo but I cannot confirm it. It may fit other aircraft but you should do your own research. It is in good usable condition, has been stored in climate controlled environment, AN fittings have been plugged to prevent dirt ingress. Shaft chrome is clean, no scratching or unusual wear. No certification papers so re-certification is up to you.
Fully retracted center to center distance is: 7.75" Fully extended center to center distance is: 9.625" Markings on dataplate: CYL-HYD LOCK part no: 180-58042-11 serial no: C-141, order no: 28736 rating psi: 3000 Note: Payment in full is due within 3 days of closing. Please ask questions before last day of auction. I ship to confirmed addresses only This cylinder is probably 50 years old, I'm cleaning out my garage therefore no returns unless it is grossly misrepresented in the auction |

GM returning to leasing with luxury vehicles
Thu, 30 Jul 2009General Motors will return to the leasing business focusing on luxury vehicles, but not on a broader basis, Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said. "We will get back into leasing, but we are not going to use massive subsidized leasing to drive volume because it's volume without profitability," Lutz said July 29 in an interview with Automotive News. "We'd rather sell less at higher profit than sell more at lower profit." Lutz said it still would make sense for GM to do more leasing on its luxury vehicles.
