Lap time beacon works with all AiM Sports lap timers and data loggers.

NOTE: This will also work with Alfano lap timers, but some Alfano units require a specific infra-red receiver to pick up the signal.

Infra-red (optical) beam cuts across the track for precise, automatic timing. Threaded insert on bottom for attachment to a tripod (not included).

FRENCH car maker Peugeot has released the first details of the latest addition to its recently launched 308 range. Following on from the five-door hatchback, the firm is to launch an estate variant called the SW in the spring. Peugeot claims class leading load space plus a flat floor and the ability to fold the seats with a single action from inside the boot.

As Chrysler LLC negotiates an alliance with Fiat S.p.A. that would satisfy the Obama administration, sources say the companies are discussing a revised ownership structure, a new board and possibly a different management team for Chrysler. Among the options being discussed is a direct role in Chrysler's operations for Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne--possibly even the chief executive's job.

Alfa Romeo will reportedly become standalone company

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne plans to turn Alfa Romeo into a standalone company, Automotive News Europe reports. Marchionne is expected to announce wide-ranging plans for the brand on May 6 which will see Alfa Romeo become a stand-alone legal entity within Fiat-Chrysler, with a publicly disclosed profit and loss statement. Alfa Romeo is currently part of Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A., which also contains Lancia, Fiat Professional trucks and vans and the Abarth performance brand.
