This barrel bag from Lazy Riders is 12" in diameter and 20" wide. The core is a very durable plastic pipe. It's the same kind of pipe that they make culverts out of, the ones go under roads. You can flip it upright and sit on it.

It's designed to go on the passenger seat so the rider can lean back against it. There is a flat foam pad and a roll pad that Velcros to the bag. It can be adjusted up or down according to the rider's preference. If the rider has a passenger, the bag can just as easily be mounted behind the sissy bar. Two strong bungees with bolt snaps hold it tightly to nearly any bracket or part you want to use.

It's made of heavy synthetic leather. The two sides have a snug fit over the main part by about 2 inches, so there is little chance of rain getting in. The sides are held closed by a turn clasp, so there are no zippers to fight with. Each side has both an inside and outside pocket. The outside pockets have both Velcro and a plastic clasp. The pockets have elastic to keep them from gaping open, so you can put a drink in them, easily reachable, without worrying it will fall out. The inner pockets have zippers. The bag has a handle at the top to make it easy to carry, or it can be slung over the shoulder with the mounting bungees.

You can fit a 12-pack of drinks in it, or a small 6-pack cooler with space to spare. The ribbed barrel helps the contents stay in place, so there is less risk of everything falling out when you open it.

Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon heading for Goodwood FoS

Fri, 14 Jun 2013

The Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon (pictured) will be at the Goodwood FoS We’ve had a road-going version of the Toyota GT86 fettled by TRD and now we’re getting a track-focused version too. Just like the Toyota GT86 TRD, the Griffon version gets a makeover from Toyota Racing Division, and just like the road-going version – which costs £31,495 – the Griffon track version has to make do with the same 197bhp flat four engine the stock road car gets. But the changes to the GT86 Griffon are more extreme than the road-going version, with a focus on shedding weight and sharpening responses.

Domestic brands top latest consumer satisfaction survey

Tue, 14 May 2013

Volkswagen Group and Ford Motor Co. fared well among automakers in an annual study released Monday measuring quality and how deeply consumers feel about a new car or light-truck purchase after several months of ownership. And for the first time in over a decade, domestic automakers, led by GM, topped foreign brands in individual product segments surveyed by Strategic Vision, a California research and consulting firm.
