LEAK DETECTION PUMP VW CABRIO GOLF JETTA 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 MK3 021 906 201

Product Description

This leak detection pump is guaranteed to work or I'll give you your money back. They were each taken from 95 & 97-99 MK3 Jetta's, Golfs, and Cabrio's with 2.0L engine.

This pump is easily removed from the car with no screws or bolts. You access the pump from underneath the car and press the middle tab to allow the pump to be pushed upwards where it will become free.  Disconnecting the hoses takes the most time. Note that care must be taken not to break the bracket when you remove your existing pump. You will need your old bracket with this pump because this pump does not come with a bracket. It is only 3 screws to move your existing bracket to this replacement pump.  If you need a mounting bracket because yours is broken, please email me before purchasing because I do have a few pumps with brackets.

Note that there are two different types of systems on the MK3 Jetta.  One has a canister in the front passenger wheel well just if front of the tire.  The other has this leak detection pump under the air filter.   The leak detection pump was used on all 97-99 cars.   It was also installed on cars made in 95 in the months of August through October.  However, the pump was never activate in those vehicles.   93-96 utilize the canister type system and do not have a leak detection pump.

I leave positive feedback for everyone who purchases from me.  I ship same day for purchases made before 6am eastern.  I respond promptly to all emails so feel free to send me any questions before or after purchase.  Thanks for your interest!

Bonneville broadcast will add pepper to the salt

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

If you've ever been to Bonneville during Speed Week, you know what a thrilling corner of the motorsports world the place occupies: standing out on the endless, blazing-white expanse of salt, hearing the cars before you see them, seeing first the roostertail of salt rocketed into the air, then the tallest part of the rear fin, then the car itself, blasting over the curvature of the Earth, followed by engine cutoff, popping chutes, deceleration and the giddy celebration of driver and crew as yet another record falls. But most people -- those with jobs, kids, responsibilities (where are your priorities, people???) -- will never get a chance to go. So this year, the Southern California Timing Association has made a deal to broadcast audio of the entire Speed Week live, as it happens, direct from the salt, on the fabulous internet.
