This auction is for THREE vintage catalogs from a collection of a former Navy (and private) pilot, no dates on them, but came from a box of items from the early 1950s decade. FIRST one states: "LEAR-ROMEC AIRCRAFT PUMPS & ACCESSORIES BULLETIN LR-5, ROMEC DIVISION, ELYRIA, OHIO," and has 4 pages. SECOND states: "LEAR, THE NAME MEN FLY BY...AUTOMATICALLY!...ONE OF THE OLDEST & LARGEST PRODUCERS OF AIRBORNE ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, LEAR, INCORPORATED, GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN," and has 4 pages THIRD states: "BRING YOUR FLYING UP-TO-DATE WITH LEAR, SALES & SERVICE COAST TO COAST, LEAR INC., LEARCAL DIVISION, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA," multi-fold with information on both sides AND opens up into a large flat section that almost looks like it could display as a vintage poster! McLaren 12C Spider gets topless, goes sideways
Thu, 12 Jul 2012McLaren has released a glossy launch video to accompany the release of the new 12C Spider supercar. It looks as if the boys and girls from Woking are determined to destroy the reputation for anodyne, 'boring' supercars at McLaren, given that the 12C Spider spends most of its time going very sideways in this clip. Then again, given the 12C Spider's hardware, it's not hard to see why it's such a lairy beast when off the leash.

And with the A45 AMG heading towards Mercedes showrooms soon, MB are bust promoting their new hot hatch, and what better way to do that than rope in your own highly paid F1 drivers to add a bit of performance gloss? So Mercedes has put Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of an A45, Nico Rosberg in the passenger seat and a ‘Good Fairy’ in the road to sort out arguments about who should get to drive.

Sun, 28 Aug 2011New Jaguar XE Spy video - or C-X16, if you prefer Will Jaguar’s new small Roadster – which we’re persisting in calling the Jaguar XE – actually turn up at Frankfurt 2011? Yes, but in the guise of what Jaguar are calling the Jaguar C-X16 ‘production concept’. We’ve had some spy photos of the Jaguar XE before – and we had Jaguar’s sketch of the C-X16 a couple of weeks ago, which told us nothing – and now we’ve got video of the XE (or at least a cut-down XK mule) out testing in Death Valley.
