Thu, 10 Oct 2013New Porsche Macan teased on new Porsche microsite What started out being called the Porsche Cajun turned in to the Porsche Macan, and the Macan will debut officially at the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of November. But ahead of that debut – and, it would seem, a reveal in 41 days time at the first LA press day – Porsche has launched a new microsite for the Macan to tease and inform Porsche fans and potential buyers. What Porsche are at pains to point out is that the Macan isn’t a compact SUV but a five door, five seat Sports Car that just happens to have a raised ride height.

All of these cars achieve CO2 figures below 120g/km, which places them in the UK's VED tax band B and, according to Volvo, makes them the most efficient cars in their respective classes. UK sales start in January 2009.

Tue, 01 Mar 2011Electric Rolls Royce Phantom Rolls Royce has taken the wraps of its experimental electric Phantom at Geneva – Rolls Royce 102EX – and they certainly haven’t done things by halves. Rolls Royce engineers have taken the regular engine out of the Phantom and replaced it with a pair of electric motors rated at 145 kWh and possibly the biggest lithium-ion battery bank on four wheels. The Phantom EV uses five lithium-cobalt-manganese-oxide (or NCM) pouch cells which form the shape of the engine and live under the bonnet.
