2014 Toyota Highlanders recalled over seatbelt issue

Toyota has announced a recall of a number of 2014 Highlander SUVs, citing issues with one of the seat belts. Specifically, the seat belt assembly in the middle seat of the third row may not have been properly attached to a floor anchorage during factory assembly. The affected vehicles were built from November 20, 2013, to January 18, 2014.

Mitsubishi Concept G4 to debut in Bangkok

Mitsubishi will unveil its Concept G4 at the upcoming Bangkok motor show. The Concept G4 compact sedan is shown in only one sketch, meaning we have few details, but we can see it features Mitsubishi's latest design language first seen on the CA-MiEV in Geneva, for example the headlamps, rear lamps, vertical fog lamp bezels and grille. Mitsubishi claims that the concept's short nose will help with visibility and maneuverability, while the interior will allegedly be among the roomiest in its class.

Toyota makes service plans standard

Toyota Motor Corp., aiming to restore customer trust after a recall crisis, is launching two new U.S. service plans that will come standard with Toyota and Scion brand vehicles. Called Toyota Care and Scion Service Boost, the plans will offer free factory scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, the company said Wednesday.
