It's the fastest diesel Jag ever – and will also slot into the XK coupe and cabrio.The diesel work-out is good news for the XF – today's 2.7-litre V6 turbodiesel doesn't have the clout to mix it with the best German engines. London Design Museum showcases most iconic designs and inventions

The London Design Museum has added 13 new exhibits to its collection. The additions come ahead of the Museum's relocation from its current location in the shadows of Tower Bridge to the former Commonwealth Institute across town in Kensington. The new acquisitions are taken from a variety of backgrounds; from the iconic Tomohiro Nishikado-designed Space Invaders game through the Kalashnikov AK-47 and the Amazon Kindle.

Ford to open Silicon Valley lab

Ford Motor Co., aiming to keep ahead of technology trends, will establish a research lab in the heart of California's Silicon Valley. The automaker said Friday the lab will open near Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif., in the first few months of this year. Ford wants the lab to take on a start-up feel and expand beyond the traditional automaker mindset to encourage innovation and improve mobility and safety.
