 This Left Foot Accelerator adapter allows drivers with a right leg injury or amputation to drive easily again. Installation for my car was an easy 30 minute job. You'll position the assembly with the guard in front of your existing accelerator pedal. Drill 2 holes through the floor and use the included nuts and bolts to attach the base plate. The adapter pedal slides in and latches for left foot use. Adapter pedal can be removed in seconds with the release latch for normal operation of vehicle! Your vehicle MUST have an automatic transmission, no stick shifts!
Pedal's angle and contact are adjustable with common hand tools. The pedal shown on the right is a stationary guard to prevent accidental contact with original accelerator.

Mexico plant to build Honda Fit for U.S. market

Honda Motor Co. has confirmed it will build its Fit small car at its new plant in Mexico for export to the United States and other markets, as it expands its local production footprint to combat the Japanese yen's profit-eating strength. The plant, near Celaya, Guanajuato, will begin operation in 2014 with a capacity of 200,000 vehicles a year.

Jaguar Land Rover has announced a whole new host of apps that'll be available in vehicles by both brands later this year via the InControl smartphone integration system. With the help of Bosch and a number of third-party app developers, Jaguar and Land Rover will debut integrated in-vehicle app connectivity for phones with the Android operating system, as well as for Apple's iOS. Jaguar Land Rover is the latest company to bring apps to cars' infotainment systems, an innovation that will either greatly reduce distracted driving and make crucial information much more easily accessible or cause drivers to completely ignore the act of driving altogether.

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake Goodwood FoS debut

The estate version of the Mercedes-Benz CLS – the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake – will debut at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake – well, a concept CLS SB – bowed in at the Beijing Motor Show in 2010 and although we’ve seen it running around the roads, it’s seemed no closer to production. But it looks like Mercedes has now had long enough to play with the oxymoron that is a coupe estate and the CLS Shooting Brake will get its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of June.
