This auction is for a left foot accelerator adapter, left foot accelerator adaptor, left foot accelerator pedal adapter, left foot accelerator pedal adaptor. A few months ago, I had some surgery on my right foot, and  knew I wasn't going to be able to drive unless I could come up with some way to work the gas pedal with my left foot. After doing some research and thinking about it for a while, what you see in the picture is what I came up with. It worked very well for me (also see feedback on item 261563301772 and 261119679917). My foot is now healed, so I thought someone else might be able to use my "invention". (Since I sold the original one, I have been making new ones. What you will receive is an exact copy of what you see in the picture.) If you have a permanent problem with your right foot, this might not be the best choice, you should probably get one of the commercially available units (they cost several hundred dollars), but if you need something for a few weeks like I did (I used it for about two months), this might be a cheap alternative. The picture shows it installed in my 1989 Lincoln Town Car, so that is the only thing I know for sure that it fits. I included a ruler in the picture so you could get an idea of the dimension to see if it will fit in your car. I removed the two screws that hold the silver clamps in place, and you get the screws, clamps, and everything else in the picture that is copper colored. To install you just need to position it in your car like in the picture, drill two holes (make sure you are not drilling into something important), and put the screws in. The buyer is responsible for installing it in your car so that it works properly, and to make sure you know how to use it safely. Shipping will be by USPS priority mail, regional rate box, and I will ship it to where ever the Post Office will deliver it to for the normal domestic regional rate box price. Local pick up for free is also available in either Hackettstown, NJ (07840), Union, NJ (07083) or Green Pond, NJ (07435) at a mutually convenient time. If you want to do the local pick up, please let me know at the end of the auction, and I will send you a new invoice that shows no shipping charge. Thanks for looking and good luck.

Move over! Fixed Penalties for middle lane hogs

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Move over or get a fine! Middle lane hogs to get fixed penalties It really is remarkable the number of drivers who think three-lane motorways are split in to three lanes – lorries, them and idiots in the outside lane – and spend their whole journey sat in lane two regardless. That’s bad enough if you’re driving a car, but it’s much worse if you’re driving a heavy goods vehicle that can’t use lane three and ends up baulked and frustrated by the man with the pipe and elbow patches driving ‘steadily’ on his way.

GM recalls ATS, XTS and Impala for brake lamp fix

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Cadillac's 2013 ATS and 2013 XTS and the 2014 Chevrolet Impala are being recalled by General Motors because of a potential problem with the brake lamps. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association reports that the brake lamps may "intermittently flash without the brakes being applied, and the cruise control may disengage." The report states this could cause a crash if the following driver isn't warned to adjust vehicle speed. The recall impacts 1,627 copies of the sedans, and comes just two months after the new Chevy Impalas began rolling off production lines.
