Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition Laps the ‘Ring in 7:14.64 +video

Wed, 07 Sep 2011

Lexus LFA Nurburgring sets a Lap Record at the Nordschleife The news that the Lexus LFA Nurburgring has lapped the track after which it is named in a remarkable 7:14.64 will bring a smile to the face of Hiromu Naruse, wherever he may be. He lost his life in an LFA Nurburgring Edition in the Summer of 2010 whilst testing the car near the Nurburgring itself, and it’s nice to think that if he’d still been with us, despite his age, it could well have been Naruse-san at the wheel.

Mercedes recalls M-class for cruise-control fix

Tue, 05 Apr 2011

Mercedes-Benz is recalling the M-class SUV from the 2000 to 2004 model years to fix a problem with the cruise-control system. In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Mercedes said the cruise control may not disengage when the driver steps on the brake pedal, which could lead to a crash. Mercedes says the system can still be shut off by using the cruise-control stalk or by pumping the brake pedal.
