2013 Ford Mondeo: Paris 2012
Sat, 29 Sep 2012Ford has given the new Mondeo its first public outing at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and it looks a good effort. But the new 2013 Ford Mondeo no longer has the advantage of being a default buy for families, so Ford are working hard to make the Mondeo stand out from the mainstream offerings in the C/D segment by making it appear to more ‘Premium’ than just a mere Ford. Kode 7 and Kode 9 sports cars star at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013
Thu, 21 Nov 2013One of the best things about being at an international motor show in person is coming across amazing cars you didn’t even know existed – and here at Tokyo 2013, the very best examples of this are the Kode 7 and Kode 9 on the Ken Okuyama Design stand. Absolutely stunning – but that’s hardly a surprise given the man responsible also designed the Enzo Ferrari. The Kode 7 – an evolution of the ko.7 that debuted in Geneva 2008 – appears in Exclusive (silver) and Clubman (red) guises as a lightweight track toy.
BMW 'Dwelling Lab' project
Tue, 11 May 2010One of the most interesting pieces of work shown at the recent Milan Design Week was 'The Dwelling Lab', collaboration between BMW, Flos Lighting and Kvadrat fabrics. Artists Patricia Urquiola and Guilio Ridolfo were commissioned to effectively turn a BMW 5 Series GT inside out. The car is 'exploded' - with five giant cone-like structures growing out of the windscreen, door openings etc.
