This item is a Lewmar Rollstop Series deck hatch in anodized silver model 82005S absolutely new and never installed. The hatch is new-old-stock in the original box (somewhat worn from the warehouse).

Rollstop Series hatches are supported but no longer offered from Lewmar, and the closest match is probably the Ocean Series 39620050 with a current list price of $521.70.

Approximate dimensions are 16.5"x10.5" for the frame, the cutout is 7.75"x13.5", and the height about 1.5". This is a flat base mount model with smoked acrylic lens, and internal latch, and a stepped friction-based opening mechanism (no lid stay is required for this self supporting model).

Screens and trim kits can be obtained separately from Lewmar or eBay for standard Size 40 dimensions.

I have a total of three to auction; contact me for a combined shipping estimate.

Boris lets motorbikes in bus lanes

Mon, 05 Jan 2009

It wasn’t too difficult to make the choice between Ken and Boris in the last London Mayor elections. Ken had done much that got under the skin of the average Londoner, and it was time for a change. But, however affable Boris is, it always seemed likely he could easily cock everything up.

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 - just 100 coming to the UK The range-topping Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 arrives in the UK in the Autumn, but just 100 cars are allocated to the UK in the first year. We like just about everything that makes up the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. We like its styling – still very US but with a welcome does of European panache; we like  its interior – no longer an American plastic feast; we like it’s price – there’s a lot on offer for not silly money.

But things they are a-changing.
