Rolls Royce had its most successful year EVER in 2013

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Rolls Royce has its most successful year EVER in 2013 The 110th anniversary of Rolls Royce in 2013 is a record in itself, but RR have capped that by delivering a set of sales figures that are the best ever. Big sales growth across the glove saw sales in the Middle East rise by 17 per cent, China by 11 per cent and strong sales in other markets like Germany, Japan and Canada, with China and the US remaining the most significant markets. Those extra sales have been helped by the network of Rolls Royce dealers rising to a record 120 with a further 15 new dealerships added in 2013 and more planned for 2014.

Kia Pro_Cee’d GT Turbo teased

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

The Kia Pro Cee’d GT – complete with the 1.6 litre petrol turbo from the Veloster with 200bhp – is being teased by Kia. We reported last month that Kia are planning to put the 200bhp, 1.6 litre Turbo from the Hyundai Veloster in to the new Pro_cee’d three door to create a hot little coupe, and now Kia has caught up with that news with the first tease for the Pro_cee’d GT. It’s probably best to take the teaser photo of the Pro_cee’d GT with a pinch of salt – it’s a typically extreme rendering of the car we’ll actually get – but it does demonstrate that Kia want to differentiate the Pro_cee’d GT from the more prosaic models.

One Lap of the Web: Dying wishes, Euro cars and worst traffic jam in history

Fri, 24 May 2013

We spend a lot of time on the Internet -- pretty much whenever we’re not driving, writing about or working on cars. Since there’s more out there than we’d ever be able to cover, here’s our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. If you’d like to start the day off with a good cry, read about 17-year-old Zach Sobiech over at Autoblog.
