Audi Sketches Out Plans For Its New Tt
Fri, 21 Feb 2014WITH the launch of its new model just around the corner, Audi has released design sketches as a teaser for its forthcoming third generation TT. The sports coupe has proven to be a popular model for the German firm, and next month will see the unveiling of the latest version at the influential Geneva Motor Show. Although technical details are currently scarce, it’s clear to see that the car’s design is more of an evolutionary step from the current model.
Survey Reveals Car Use Slump Despite Lower Petrol Prices
Thu, 10 Jul 2014USUALLY the news that petrol prices are down would be cause for celebration, but the latest AA/Populus survey reveals that car use is also on the slide. Despite more wallet-friendly prices at the pumps the situation is failing to kick-start more car use. The poll of more than 18,000 AA members, conducted in June, revealed that just 7% were more relaxed about prices at the pumps, and were using their car more than a year ago.
China automaker Brilliance halts Europe exports, executives say
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd., BMW AG's partner in China, has halted its car exports to Europe after its BS4 and BS6 sedan met with a cool reception, and there is no timetable for a resumption, senior executives said on Thursday. The head of Brilliance's former importer for Europe, Hans-Ulrich Sachs, told Automotive News Europe in March that another reason the automaker struggled is because it refused to lower the starting prices on the BS6 and BS4. "They didn't want to lose any money per car," said Sachs, the former boss of the now dissolved import company HSO Motors Europe.
