Two 1950 Motorcycling Articles: Shorty Tompkins + Norfolk Motor Corps! Each is a single page: the first is a quick look at Shorty Tompkins of Sacramento CA, a popular and successful racer of the late 1940's and 1950's. The second article is a look at the Norfolk Motor Corps from Norfolk Virginia, an early motorcycle precision drill team. These original articles are from a real 1950 motorcycle magazine!  These are beautiful ads to frame! These are slightly larger than newer ads, approximately  9" x 12"! Photo is of actual ads being sold. All ads are packed soundly for shipping to ensure their safe arrival.

All sales are final. Please inspect the photo of items provided to determine condition and suitability for your purchase.

All magazine ads, articles, and road tests are genuine items taken from a real magazine, and are NOT reprints. All are in very good to fine used condition, and may show signs of their age. I do my best to select items that would indeed be suitable for framing, items that I would frame for my own use

Puegeot win at Le Mans – Audi third

Mon, 15 Jun 2009

Peugeot drivers celebrate their 1-2 at Le Mans The winning Peugeot (#9) was driven by Alexander Wurz, David Brabham and Marc Gene, whilst second place was taken by Sébastien Bourdais, Franck Montagny and Stéphane Sarrazinin in car #8, just one lap behind, and five laps in front of Audi’s #1 car driven by Allan McNish, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen. In fact, the Audi car #1 (the other Audi entries had fallen by the wayside) finished just one lap ahead of Lola Aston Martin’s #007 car. The usual racing excuses were out in full, with Audi claiming that the cancellation of the traditional testing day this year meant they were unable to set up the R15 TDI properly in time for the race (Peugeot seemed to manage to get the 908s ready!).

Honda's future plans cut Acura TSX platform

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

Acura boss Jeff Conrad says the TSX will remain in the lineup "for the foreseeable future." But when Acura moved into the entry-luxury segment with the ILX last year it jammed up its sedan lineup -- both in terms of vehicle sizes and pricing ladders. The ILX and aging TSX are positioned close to each other, as are the TSX and mid-sized TL.
