Liferaft Hydraulic Release Unit. Raftgo. Liferaft Safety. Nautical. Emergency on 2040-parts.com
Marina del Rey, California, US
Made by C.J. Hendry Company. This is a auto deployment for liferafts if the boat is sinking.
A hydralic release unit is in place so that if a boat or ship is sinking and the crew don't have time, or can't make it to the liferafts to deploy them, this will when the boat sinks be activated by water pressure and will release the liferaft pods which will come popping up to the surface of the ocean in the event of a sinking. Without these the liferafts will find a watery grave with the mother ship and the people in the water will be without a raft.
So most likely you dont need one but even so quite a cool nautical device. MFG. 1983
