Brand:Lightspeed Manufacturer Part Number:20-XLc

This was Lightspeed Aviation's second or third best active noise reduction headset in the 2000s.  It takes 2-AA batteries (not included), has dual volume controls, mono/stereo selector, and com-priority switch.  It has the 2-plug arrangement for airplanes, and I have used it with no problems in several Cessnas.

It has an aux. input jack for a music player or mobile phone, BUT I had the Lightspeed technician disconnect the mobile phone circuit because it interferred with the music input circuit (and mobile phone use while flying is not legal anyway).  Otherwise, the headset is fully functional.  It automatically mutes 80% of the aux. input when the main intercom is active if the com-priority switch is on.

It comes with the original nylon carrying case, instruction sheet, and aux. input patch cords.  This headset retailed for about $400 in the 2000s.  I am setting the return period to 60 days so you have plenty of time to make sure it works in your aircraft.

Also, I am throwing in an adapter from the airplane plugs to the single helicopter plug, BUT HAVE NOT USED IT IN YEARS, CAN'T TEST IT NOW, AND SO DO NOT WARRANT IT.  I just have it, it probably works, and I have no other use for it.

The winning bid includes insured shipping to any USA address, which will cost me about $16.  Ebay might offer its Global Shipping Program at additional cost to international buyers.

This is a one-time casual sale of a household item, and is not business inventory.

Lamborghini Huracan: Is this the name of the new Gallardo?

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Do we now have to get used to calling this the Lamborghini Huracan? We’re currently suffering a spate of teases for the successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo – which we expected to be the Cabrera – but it seems it won’t get the Cabrera moniker after all – it’s apparently going to be the Lamborghini Huracan. So says Auto Express who’ve been tipped the wink by someone who seems to know.

Autoweek's Vinsetta Garage premieres Jan. 3 on Velocity Network

Thu, 15 Dec 2011

The garage I'd frequent during my high school years, the one at which I sought insight, entertainment, camaraderie and escape, remains warm in my heart with memories. We have these places, you and I, where the people and things that mattered to us—my 1965 Ford Mustang notchback 289 and my buddy's 1963 Jaguar XKE—came to life. In Detroit, that mystical location was Vinsetta Garage.

Sergio Marchionne warns of strife ahead in Europe

Sat, 29 Sep 2012

Fiat chief exec Sergio Marchionne today warned of troubled waters ahead as Europe's car makers prepare for a radical restructuring. Marchionne, who's the current president of trade body ACEA, said factory closures were looming and repeated his call for a concerted EU-wide response to overcapacity. He warned that national interest was blocking action to strip out excess capacity, caused after European new car demand crashed by 3 million in the past five years.
