Tue, 15 Apr 2014The Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept has been unveiled ahead of its official debut at the New York Auto Show on Wednesday 16 April. The bold concept car hints at how an all-new, fourth-generation version of the family 4x4 will look and also sets the tone for an entire family of Discovery models. Renault Twin’Run gets 316bhp & pays homage to the Renault 5 Turbo
Fri, 24 May 2013The Twin’Run is an extreme version of the next Twingo and manages to pay homage to the old Renault 5, with a thumping great V6 bolted in the middle and pumping out 316bhp and 280lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to 155mph. The Nissan-sourced V6 gets mated to a SADEV six-speed sequential gearbox and comes with a limited slip diff to stop the tyres burning off when the going gets brisk. As well as endowing the Twin’Run with lots of power, Renault has also kept weight down to 950kg by using a tubular chassis, glass-polyester composite for the bodywork, lumps of carbon fibre and not a hugely laden interior.
Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification gets 593 bhp
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification (pictured) gets 593 bhp The Rolls Royce Ghost has been around for some time, and we’re expecting a reveal as early as the Geneva Motor Show in March. But ahead of a facelift for the Ghost we’re getting another limited edition Ghost to bolster sales – the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification. The Ghost V-Specification is effectively the Ghost with the powerplant from the new Rolls Royce Wraith (itself the ‘Ghost Coupe’) which means power jumps from 563bhp in the standard Gost to 596bhp in the V-Spec.
