To all of you who kept after us for a replacement needle only - here you go. Fresh this week.
This auction is for 1 replacement stainless steel triangular needle only. This was actually copied from an NOS Indian Linkert needle & seat. This will fit "NEARLY ALL" of the Indian seats with triangular needles as used on Indian Linkerts, including those 1939 / 1940 Schebler beanpot bowls ( which is what we copied it from ), & will replace "MOST" of the imported rubber tip needles, as well as "MANY" of the triangular needles used on Harley Linkerts. It will even replace the stainless needles in our own needle & seats.
It will NOT replace round needles, square needles, the "mini" needles used on tin covered bowls ( although those will be here very shortly ), nor will it replace all triangular needles as Linkert used a number of contractors for their needle & seats, but it will fit most. Handy to have a hand full around to save many of those nice old seats when possible. We may even make those round needles if the mood strikes us. 1 or 100 - same shipping cost.

Thu, 03 Nov 2011Peter Horbury, presently Vice President of Design at Volvo Car Corporation, is set to join a growing roster of design directors who have relocated to China – the most recent being Gert Hildebrandt who was appointed Design Director at Chery Quantum Auto Co. (a joint venture between Chery Automobile, China's largest independent car manufacturer, and Israel Corp.) earlier this year. Horbury, who will be taking up a new position as Senior Vice President of Design at Geely Group, will be based in Sanya, in the Hainan Province of China.
