We are a Chevrolet dealership that has been family owned and operated since 1928. We recently moved to a new building and have sold the old building. We need to reduce our excess inventory that we have accumulated through the years. We are also selling old race car parts, parts for Classic Chevrolet Muscle Cars (Corvette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova), NOS GM parts and some current GM Parts for late model GM vehicles still navigating the highway.

We reserve the right to list and cancel any listings in accordance with E-bay auction and listing guidelines. Missouri residents must pay the sales tax rate that applies in California, MO unless you provide a Missouri State Sales Tax Exemption Number.

We are not vintage parts experts, but will try to describe the part to the best of our knowledge. Some parts may need adjustments, or in the case of a used part, minor repairs. We will always answer any e-mails regarding the condition of our parts. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, so no one will be able to answer the phone on those days.  Our phone number is 573.796.2131 and ask for the parts department. Our fax number is 573-796-4206.

Handling Procedures:

  1. If any part is damaged in shipment, the buyer needs to contact the seller (OldVetteParts) and we will contact the shipment company (UPS or USPS) and have them inspect the package and the part at your residence.

  2. The part must be returned to Putnam Chevrolet before refunds will be made.

  3. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us if they would like more than the standard $100.00 of insurance for UPS or $50.00 for the USPS.

  4. You may also pick up the part at the dealership and will not be charged freight or a handling fee.

  5. Local Pickup only is done on items that are too bulky or too risky to ship via UPS or the USPS. We do this to ensure the lowest cost and the best customer satisfaction we can provide.

Payment Policy:

  1. If you win a bid on a part and fail to pay within 10 days of winning the bid, an EBay unpaid case will be opened and the part will be re-listed for sale, unless an agreement is reached  between Putnam Chevrolet and the buyer.

  2. If you have issues with paying for a part till later, please message us, we will work with you to solve your issue.

Return Policy:

  1. We do not offer any returns on our parts. We understand that you are protected by the EBay policy on returns (EBAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE) for having the incorrect description, and will honor that policy.

  2. Please consider that Returns not only cost us money, but also cost you time as well. Always contact us with your VIN number so we can make sure that your vehicle is compatible to any part that we have to sell. Since we are a GM dealer we access to such information.

  3. Let’s be honest with each other, no one wants to waste each other’s time. It hurts productivity and efficiency and it leaves a bad taste in both parties’ mouths. Let’s make this EBay transaction smooth and painless.

Feedback:

  1. We have no desire to give anyone negative feedback, so if you are bidding on a part and win the item, please pay for it. All items that are sold and not paid for will be re-listed.

  2. We do not give feedback to a customer until the customer gives us feedback.  Since we can’t give the buyer a negative rating, it is a way to insure that you don’t get “positive” feedback without deserving it.

  3. We will try to resolve any mistakes that happen with our product shipment or any other errors. We at OldVetteParts strive to provide a 5 Star Positive experience on every transaction and customer interaction.

Ford puts Sync Applink into more vehicles

Wed, 22 Jun 2011

Ford is expanding its Sync Applink technology, adding it to several 2012 models that will start arriving in dealerships late this summer. Sync Applink, which debuted on the 2012 Ford Mustang earlier this year, enables drivers to access their smartphone apps via Sync's voice controls. Applink will be included in the Sync package, which is an extra-cost option on many Ford vehicles.

Call for reform over road repair funding

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

FUNDING patterns mean most road maintenance is being carried out in "less-efficient, cold and wet" times, a report from a Government spending watchdog has said. The current pattern of funding, combined with the need to spend money within the financial year, means that most maintenance work goes on between September and March, said the report from the National Audit Office (NAO). It went on: "Although this is less disruptive for road users, it is less efficient than carrying out the work at other times of year because materials can be more difficult to handle in cold and wet conditions, and daylight hours are shorter." The report went on: "As a result of the additional funding for emergency repairs, which is made available at the end of the financial year, almost all highways authorities need extra capacity from the market at the same time, which makes it less likely that they will get value for money." The NAO report said there was a "lack of predictability" over road spending adding that historically, local highway authorities spent more revenue on maintenance, but were now carrying out fewer routine activities such as clearing gullies which are essential to preventing water seeping into roads' sub-structure.

Chris Economaki was one of the good guys

Fri, 28 Sep 2012

I'm really going to miss Chris Economaki, who died this morning around midnight, 91 years young. Elsewhere on this site, you'll find writer Leo Levine's excellent tribute to Chris. In it, he pays compliments to Chris such as “he left a hole in the motorsports firmament that can never be filled.
