Rohan Saparamadu appointed Chief Designer at Maruti-Suzuki

Rohan Saparamadu has been appointed Chief Designer and Advisor to Styling at Delhi, India-based Maruti-Suzuki. Saparamadu, a veteran of GM Design for the last 23 years, was offered the position after he accepted an early retirement from the automotive giant late last year. "The company was good and that's what kept me there all those years," Saparamadu told CDN of his career at General Motors.

Press days for the 2014 Detroit auto show wrapped up on Tuesday, and the sum total was more big reveals than we can shake a stick shift at. Production cars included the Ford F-150, Corvette Z06, BMW M3 and M4, Subaru WRX STI and the Porsche 911 Targa, while on the concept front we saw the Toyota FT-1, Nissan Sport Sedan and Kia GT4 Stinger just to name a few. New cameras spot traffic offences

ILLEGAL turns or misuse of yellow-box junctions are liable to be caught out by remote cameras in a pioneering initiative by a borough council. The first unattended CCTV enforcement system for moving traffic offences has been introduced by Redbridge council in east London. The council said the scheme was working well, with "serious traffic contraventions" captured.
