LONG, OIL THERMOSTAT, FOR COLD CLIMATES, (OC-708-4739) LONG OIL THERMOSTAT PART NUMBER OC-708-739 Oil thermostat for use with engine oil or transmission fluid. Begins closing at 160 degree F and is fully closed at 180 degree F. The fittings are 3/8" FPT fittings. NOTE: 1. DO NOT use transmission oil coolers for engine oil applications. Engine damage may result due to oil flow restrictions. 2. For EXTREME COLD weather conditions (20-30 degree F below 0) recommended installation includes a OC-708-4739 Thermostatic Bypass Kit.

Renault Sand'up concept
Mon, 27 Oct 2008This is Renault's new Sand'up concept, developed by Renault Brazil and unveiled today at the 25th Salão Internacional do Automóvel in São Paolo. The modular 2+2 coupé can not only transform into a cabriolet, but it can also be used as a pickup by lowering the rear bench seat. As most pickups in Brazil are bought for their sporty image and not used for heavy workloads, but rather as an adventurous and fun vehicle, the car makes use of the rear passenger compartment by incorporating a mechanism that lengthens the cargo bed by up to 40cm to accommodate a range of objects.
Jaguar XJ_e PHEV Plug-in Hybrid wins RAC Awards
Tue, 06 Nov 2012The Jaguar XJ_e PHEV plug-in hybrid has won the RAC ‘Most Energy Efficient Luxury Car Prototype’ and ‘Technical Panel’s Award of Merit’. This year, Jaguar rolled out its experimental hybrid XJ – the Jaguar XJ_e, which we saw at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed – which managed to win the award for ‘Most Energy Efficient Luxury Car Prototype’ and also grabbed the Technical Panel’s ‘Award of Merit’ for its clever tech and frugal transit. Jaguar entered three XJ_e PHEV experimental cars in to the FCC, which managed to do the Brighton to London run on just 1.2 litres of petrol and 11kWh of electricity which adds up to an mpg of around 125mpg.
Who's Where: Camilo Pardo leaves Ford
Thu, 15 Jan 2009Camilo Pardo has ended his 24 year long career at Ford to pursue his numerous other creative endeavors. CDN caught up with the accomplished artist, sculptor, clothing and furniture designer at his annual Designer's Night bash in Detroit, where he told us how he was now "free to do anything", but would not divulge details as the announcement was not yet official. A native New Yorker, Pardo graduated from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit and was granted the Industrial Design Society of America Merit Award in 1985.
