Longines Wittnauer 7 Jewel Cal 63 A-7 AN5726 Aircraft Clock with Glow Dial And Skeleton Hands. Refurbished glow dial, and glow hands using NON Radium glow stuff. All of these I have had or seen, the radium paint has turned black. Dial is silver plated and blackened somehow, not painted like most. This one has skeleton hands which I think is the second run of these Wittnauer A-7 clocks. The first ones had a different unmarked movement. The next run had regular type hands. Hole plugs are also domed, not flat like most. Hole plugs re-painted with 2 part black epoxy paint. Clock was completely dis-assembled, all parts cleaned very well, re-assembled and lubed properly with 5 kinds of Moebius oils. The best! All clocks I sell are GUARANTEED to keep good time. Shipping weight 1 pound.

IIHS names safest cars for 2013

Wed, 02 Jan 2013

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the safest cars for 2013, including 13 midsize sedans that qualify for a new “top safety pick+” designation. The designation is given to vehicles that earn “good” ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five tests, with no less than “acceptable” in the fifth test. A new test -- the small overlap test -- was added to assess how the vehicles perform during a front-corner collision with another vehicle or object, such as a utility pole.

Renault says Saturn supply deal ‘just didn't add up'

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

In the eleventh hour of Roger Penske's venture to acquire Saturn from General Motors Co. to keep the brand alive, Renault's executive committee in France concluded, “Ca fait deux.” Rough translation: “It's not going to come together.” Despite Penske's statements that his organization had been in discussions with automakers around the world, ultimately his hopes had been pinned on only one: Renault SA. Penske and Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn are friends and talk frequently.
