Look! 1970 Chevy 454 #512 Block And Crank on 2040-parts.com
Bonne Terre, Missouri, US
Here's your chance to own that #512 block you need to complete your LS6 Chevelle. I don't know anything about it except it was a very good running engine when i took it apart. It was the original engine in a 71 El camino SS I bought to restore. It's Date code is H 11 70. I've been told it's correct for both years. When I bought the car I completely disassembled it and planned on starting the resto. I blew the engine in My Roadrunner so it became more important to take care of that first. Then I built another car and left the old elky on the back burner again. I just realized I'm not going to get this done and it's a basket case. I drove it a little when I bought it so I know the engine is good. Th heads mysteriously disappeared when I was in the hospital last year. I've owned this for about 10 years. It's time to move it. I have the rods also. You get the block, crank, rods, flex plate and a flywheel. I have the pan bolts for it too. I'l be selling the 12 bolt posi rear end soon also. NOTE: The guy I bought the elky from said it was a one owner an the engine had never been out of it. If that's the case it's a standard bore and crank. If he wasn't truthful then it could have been massaged at some time. I can just say for sure that it ran good when I took it out. Th elky is a factory 454 SS with bench seat and column auto with rallye cluster.

Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition by Startech
Sun, 28 Nov 2010The Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition by Startech Rather than it being a surprise that Startech has produced a cosmetically highly-specced version of the iconic Land Rover Defender, the surprise is that more tuning forms don’t do it. After all, the Defender is as iconic a 4×4 as you can get, enough to imbue it with coolness and desirability by right. True, as a fast cruiser the Defender would struggle to hack it, but as an Urban Cruiser – where posing is more important than performance – it would do a fine job.
Pforzheim University Winter Show 2011
Mon, 21 Feb 2011Pforzheim University's bi-annual graduation exhibitions are firmly established as highlights of the auto design calender. And if the number of design professional wielding business cards was any indication, we weren't the only ones keen to grab a word with the students. Course leader, Prof. James Kelly, places great emphasis on ensuring graduates have the skills necessary for employment in the industry without stifling their creativity.
New Ferrari California T gets new twin turbo V8 with 49% more torque (+video)
Wed, 12 Feb 2014The new California T (pictured) revealed ahead of a Geneva debut It’s been a long time since Ferrari gave one of its cars a turbo charged engine, not since the late ’80s and the Ferrari F40, but that all changes – and no doubt points the way to the future – as the Ferrari California T gets revealed ahead of a debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the V8 Ferrari build for the Maserati Ghibli, the California T’s new engine is a 3.8 litre twin turbo with 552bhp and a mountain of torque, 557lb/ft, a massive 49 per cent more than the current California produces. That improves performance marginally – 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196mph – but has a big impact on economy; the new California T improves on the current California by 15 per cent, recording official figures of 27mpg and 250g/km.
