Look! Mickey Thompson Wheels And 35 Inch Oversized Jeep Wrangler/truck Tires! on 2040-parts.com
Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for sale are five oversized off-road jeep/truck tires (these tires will fit a lifted/modified jeep or truck only). The tire size is 315/70 R17 121/118 Q with five bolt pattern. Four of the tires (the running tires) are Kumho Road Ventures with 99 percent of tread left on the tires (13/14 mm). The fifth tire (spare) is a Mickey Thompson Baja (same size slightly different tread) with no wear at all. The wheels look very nice with no chips, dents, off-road or curb damage. They have some road dirt with some pithing, but should clean up very nicely with an acid wash. I cleaned them with wheel cleaner and they shined right up, but should be acid washed. The M/T center caps go with the set (sides of some of the caps are rusty - not sure if the rust will come off or not - some of it did with the wheel cleaner - the rust doesn't really show when the caps are in place). I was told that a set like this runs about $2500 new, so whoever wants to "upsize" to these monster tires without spending all the money will not be disappointed. I needed to downsize, as the tires were just a little too big for me. Ask if you have any questions. However, if you want to know if these tires/wheels will fit your vehicle, please ask a tire person, as I am not. These came off of my lifted 2007 Jeep Wrangler X 2-door with a 2-3 inch suspension lift. The tires were brand new in December of 2014 and the Jeep was hardly driven (as I have two other winter and summer vehicles and wanted to switch out the tires first). These tires are big and they are heavy, so they need to be picked up or buyer arranges for shipping. I would be willing to deliver them within a reasonable distance for a potential additional fee (depending on miles traveled). There is no reserve on these tires/wheels. These tires/wheels are also being sold locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, unless the buy it now is used. Thanks! Good luck and happy bidding! |

Crackdown on bogus claims helps insurance costs fall by 12%
Wed, 23 Oct 2013CAR INSURANCE premiums have plunged at a record rate of 12% year-on-year amid a tougher clampdown to combat bogus motor accident claims which add to the costs of everyone's policies. The typical quote for annual comprehensive car insurance cover was £568 in October, marking a 4.5% drop on July and a 12.4% fall on a year ago, according to the latest AA Insurance premium index, which takes the average of the five cheapest quotes on the market. This is the biggest annual slide that the AA has on its records, which go back to 1994, and marks a sharp turnaround for motorists following a period of strong increases, with premiums rising by more than 40% just two years ago.

Keyless ignition trends toward standardization
Tue, 05 Apr 2011A federal plan to require automakers to standardize keyless ignition systems in the wake of Toyota's unintended acceleration problems is likely to mirror industry guidelines issued in January, an automaker group said. Large automakers except Toyota said they already comply with the guidelines crafted by SAE International or plan to do so. These "recommended practices'' seek to counter the variation, driver confusion and safety problems that have ensued since automakers started installing push-button ignition in luxury models.
