I'm selling a lot of 6 Jaguar XJ6 items. You get everything you see in the pictures. NOTICE that the XJ6 Series III Maintenance Handbook is in duplicate. These two have mostly the same info, but there are minor differences. One has the year 83, the other 84. Some of the type is different. The 83 version is missing the words "Fuel Requirements" alongside 37 on the contents page. Someone might want to keep one handbook in the garage, and the other in the car. The black handbook is from 82. It's another XJ6 Series III maintenance handbook. The differences between it and the other two are more pronounced. The info is arranged differently and there's a full page picture of the car on page 5. The sound system booklet is undated. The Vanden Plas promo flier is a folded sheet with a nice picture of the car's interior.  The addendum sheet in the Passport to Service book might be rare. CONDITION: The Passport to Service book has former owner's name and address written on the inside of the front cover and some service record stamps and writing. The 5 detachable cards are undetached and have no writing. An "Addendum to Page 3" sheet is stapled to page 3, All pages are stapled securely. Some spots on the covers are lightly soiled. The rest of the books have no writing or highlighting. All of their pages are securely bound. The covers are clean. See the pictures.

Sat, 29 Aug 2009

The British Steam Car Challenge team has set a new land speed record for a steam car at 148.308mph All of which tends to suggest – admirable though the achievement is – that steam technology has not moved on much in 100 years. An improvement of around 1mph a decade. Still, a challenge is a challenge, and the team on the British Steam Car Challenge rose to the occasion.

2010 Audi A8: The Wi-Fi Hotspot

Mon, 24 May 2010

The Audi A8 interior - your new Wi-Fi Hotspot We’re hoping it won’t be too long before the world becomes one giant wi-fi hotspot, although broadband providers will probably have something to say about that if every town installs a wi-fi network covering their entire area. You can already get wi-fi from tens of thousands of places round the UK – and many of them free or bundled up with your mobile bill – and soon you’ll be able to have your own WLAN in your car if you rush out and get the new Audi A8. Audi are installing a WLAN system in the 2010 A8 which will effectively create a wi-fi hotspot within the car for passengers.
