Honda Vezel crossover arrives at the Tokyo motor show

For the record, Vezel rhymes with "bezel," and it's the name of Honda's long suspected Fit-based crossover. Honda showed off the new Vezel hybrid model at the Tokyo motor show, though the production model set to launch in Japan in December will also be available with a straight-gasoline 1.5-liter direct-injected engine also. The 2013 edition of the CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition saw the largest number of participants and entries ever, and produced an outstanding standard of work. In this video, filmed at the awards ceremony that took place at the North American International Auto Show, judges explain the competition structure and the benefits that both GM and the students get from the experience. Winning students also reveal how participating in the competition provided a platform for them to launch their careers and gain exposure to the world's biggest carmakers.

CDN/GM-PATAC competition deadline extended

We're now three months into the CDN-GM/PATAC Interactive Design Competition China, and here at CDN we're excited to see some many strong entries coming in. Because there has been such a flurry of quality entries leading up to the first round deadline, we're happy to announce that the deadlines have been adjusted to allow for more students to compete for two internships with GM in China. All entries must now be received by March 1, 2013 in order to qualify for judging.
