Lexus IS 300h promises unrivalled ownership costs
Tue, 16 Apr 2013The new Lexus IS - launched at Detroit in January and costing from £26,495 for the IS 250 in the UK – actually offers ownership costs that eclipse diesel offerings from the likes of Jaguar, BMW, Audi and Mercedes, say Lexus. Despite the logical assumption that the complex hybrid powerplant in the IS 300h would cost more to maintain, Lexus say the opposite is true. Because it has no clutch and the starter motor and alternator are integrated they require no servicing or replacement and Lexus has fitted a timing chain instead of a timing belt, so it won’t need regular replacement either.
New 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 is 4×4 Shooting Brake
Fri, 31 Dec 2010The 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 will be a 4x4 Shooting Brake (render by Vandenbrink design) Last month we had an email in from Argentina pointing us towards spy shots published by Autoblog Argentina which seemed to be of an all wheel drive Ferrari 612. Which tied in very well with the story we ran over a year ago when we reported that a 4×4 platform for the next Ferrari 612 was a certainty, just six months after we reported Ferrari were working on four wheel drive hybrid propulsion system. But the Ferrari 4×4 setup is very different to the permanent all wheel drive system used by Lamborghini.

Mon, 06 Jan 2014By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 06 January 2014 11:00 This is the new Peugeot 308 SW, the station wagon variant of the new 308 hatchback. Like its hatchback sister, it’s much lighter, more spacious, and smarter looking than its immediate predecessor. In fact, it could be about to pull the rug from under the VW Golf Estate and Seat Leon ST’s tyres… A huge boot!
