Bahrain Grand Prix (2012) RESULT
Sun, 22 Apr 2012Bahrain F1 Grand Prix 2012 With Red Bull and McLaren filling the front two rows of the grid in the Bahrain Grand Prix, will we see normal business resume for F1? From a mix and match grid at the first three grand Prix of the 2012 season, we see Vettel back on the front row – and on pole – with Hamilton alongside and Webber and Button behind in Bahrain. Mercedes S500 Plug-in Hybrid revealed – gets official 94.2mpg
Wed, 21 Aug 2013The Mercedes S500 Plug-in Hybrid (pictured) has been revealed There will come a point when legislators wake up and realise that car makers are getting too clever at gaming their CO2 based taxation and change the goal posts. That’s because the clever use of a plug-in electric motor coupled with a relatively frugal ICE engine – in the case of the S500 Plug-in a 329bhp 3.0 litre V6 and 80kW electric motor – produce official economy and emissions figures that are really only valid under test conditions but save a big chunk of tax for buyers.
Audi RS Q3: Official
Wed, 20 Feb 2013Audi has revealed their first ever RS SUV in the shape of the RS Q3, a 306bhp compact SUV which will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Arriving for its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the RS Q3 (we want to call it the Q3 RS) comes, as expected, with Audi’s 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine packing 306bhp and 310lb/ft of torque, which is enough to throw the RS Q3 to 62mph in just 5.5 seconds and still manage official economy of 32.1mpg. Audi has lowered the suspension on the RS Q3 and given it stiffer springs and dampers as well as fitting bigger anti-roll bars.
