This cable may not fit some late model 5.0L fuel injected engines, 2.3L OMC Ford engines, 5.7L OMC engines in 1987 or late model 5.8L engines (e.g. the 1993 5.8L).

Those applications may require a special cable.

Does not fit King Cobra!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PURCHASING!!!!!

The OMC Cobra has very specific shift linkage unlike any other brands!  We HIGHLY recommend that you (or your mechanic) have the following three items on hand before attempting to install this cable yourself:

OMC COBRA SERVICE MANUAL (do NOT attempt without one!)

BELL CRANK ALIGNMENT PLATE

SHIFT CABLE TOOL

The installation can be performed without those tools, but it takes time and patience.

Failure to route the cable correctly or to set the appropriate length adjustments and drag can cause immediate or premature failure of your cable and is NOT considered a warranty item!

But not being thorough on reporting a really boring and drawn out tease is one thing, but we can’t ignore the launch of a new version of a vehicle that until quite recently was selling almost 500k a year.

VW Golf Match (2010) launches

Thu, 20 May 2010

The new VW Golf Match At least the Volkswagen Golf Match makes sensible use of the pun, unlike the VW Touran Match we got last summer or the Tiguan Match that turned up a couple of weeks ago. And it looks like VW are intent on wiping out the SE trim across their range and replacing it with the ‘Match Moniker’. This is much the same deal as we had with the Tiguan Match.
