Le Mans champ: laser lights are the future
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Three-time Le Mans 24 Hours race champion Allan McNish has told us that technology first trialled at the world famous endurance event often makes it on to road cars – and this year’s big thing will be laser lights. Speaking ahead of Le Mans 2014, McNish said that racing is more relevant to everyday cars than people think – with features from seat belts to windscreen wipers debuting at the race. Opel Adam going rallying
Wed, 21 Nov 2012Opel is adding a bit of rally credibility to the new Adam by taking it rallying with an Adam R2 rally car for a one-make cup. But perhaps GM Europe are hoping to inject a bit of performance credibility in to the uninspiring mechanical offerings the Adam currently offers with the revelation that they’re making a rally Adam prepared to basic R2 spec, which means a tweak or three from the standard production car. That means upgrades to the engine, suspension, brakes and gearbox to produce an Adam rally car that’s an affordable entry point for young drivers and Opel are aiming to compete in the ADAC Opel Rally cup with the Adam R2.

Leading vehicle information expert HPI has warned consumers to be vigilant on the risks of finance fraud and get protection with the HPI Check. The report suggested that car owners raising finance with logbook loans secured on their vehicles are selling the vehicles before settling their accounts, which is leaving buyers at risk of losing their cash - and the car.
