Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrives
Wed, 27 Jul 2011Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrives in the UK Actually, the Maserati GranCabrio Sport arrived a few months back at the Geneva Motor Show, but it’s now washed up on our shores – just too late to enjoy the miserable summer with the rest of us by the time the first UK customer cars actually arrive in October. The main news, apart from the GranCabrio actually being for sale in the UK, is that the price is perhaps not quite as high as we’d expected. When Maserati revealed the GranCabrio Sport at Geneva we did speculate it would end up being north of £100k.
Bentley teases Arnage successor
Wed, 10 Jun 2009Bentley is giving a glimpse of its future this morning with a teaser shot of the Arnage successor due out in 2011. Look for a public debut this summer, possibly in concept form at the Pebble Beach concours, where the British luxury maker is one of the featured companies as it marks its 90th anniversary. Details are scarce, though the teaser shows a lengthy hood, a prominent grille and big fenders--hallmarks of the Bentley line.
Toyota GT86 gets 325bhp from Gazoo Racing – again
Thu, 03 Jan 2013Toyota’s renegade Gazoo Racing are teasing another Toyota GT86 with 325bhp – the GRMN FR Sports Concept Platinum – for the Tokyo Auto Salon. There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the Toyoya GT 86 (and the Subarua BRZ too) and the likelihood that it will get forced induction at some point to offer a chunk more power than its standard 197bhp. It’s always seemed likely that Toyota and Subaru would add a supercharger or turbo (or both) to their cars to give a properly powerful option.
