PL-100-BLK-OXIDE is designed to use with a drill parallel to the axis of the crank to create a round keyway and then insert the pin provided.
PL-100-BLK-OXIDE is sold with a new grade 12.9 197,000 tensile strength installation bolt to replace the GM OEM one-time-use only stretch bolt.

This PL-100-BLK-OXIDE kit includes:
Crank Pulley Drill Pin kit for LS & LQ series engines 5.7 -LS1, LS6, 6.0-LS2, 6.2-LS3, (not LS7) Corvette, Camaro, Chevy, GTO, Cadillac, GMC truck and 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 LQ engines
1- crank pulley bolt Grade 12.9 197,000 PSI tensile strength 12 point flanged bolt (requires 16mm - 12 point socket)  finished in black oxide and provided with a machined heavy duty washer resulting in total depth of 100 mm. This is for final installation and is to be torqued to 235 foot pounds. It replaces the one time use - OEM stretch type bolt Note: OEM is only grade 10.9 vs. grade 12.9 for this upgrade. This is equal to ARP 234-2503 bolt. 

1- Drill alignment tool machined from C1018 grade steel (note only one 1/4 hole is required however the tool has 2 alignment holes for longer life of the tool)
1- Heat-resist Cobalt Stl Short-length Drill Bit, 1/4", 2-1/2"
1- Metric Black Stl Hex Head Cap Screw, Class 10.9, M16 Size, 120mm Length, 2mm Pitch for mounting the alignment tool
4- Pins, W1 Tool Steel Rod, 0.250" Diameter (one pin required per crank -enough to do 4 engines, more pins available upon request)

Simple instructions are as illustrated above. Remove OEM one-time stretch bolt. Tape off drill for depth gauge based on pin length. Install guide tool with hex head bolt. Drill one 0.25"(second hole is optional). Remove guide tool. Check depth prior to installing 1/4" pin. Install pin and final assembly bolt. Torque to 235 foot pounds. (Some use full power on air gun as the engine wants to turn) Call 321-987-7741 if you need and technical assistance.

The LS series engine OEM crankshafts and crank harmonic balancer pulleys are not designed with a keyway. Often after reassembly the crank harmonic balancer pulley will rotate on the crank and work it self loose. See pictures for simple install. Drill parallel to the axis of the crank. Crank Pulley Drill Pin kit will prevent that common problem.

Logbook loans signal increasing debt risk

CONSUMERS who buy second-hand cars are at risk of unwittingly inheriting debts taken out by the previous owner that could end up with their vehicle being seized, Citizens' Advice is warning. The charity said one in five people who reported a problem to it about “logbook loans”, where a person places their car as security against a loan, ended up having their car repossessed – despite not being the one who borrowed the money. Citizens' Advice warned someone who buys a car which is still the subject of an outstanding logbook loan taken out by a previous owner could end up being chased for the debt – leaving them with the choice of making the repayments or having their vehicle repossessed.

The world debut of the Sport Sedan Concept is due at the North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit Motor Show, starting on Monday 13 January 2014. Toyota TMG EV P001 - new EV lap record at the Nurburgring Every car maker wants a lap record at the Nurburgring, and Toyota is no different. What is different this time is that Toyota has taken a non-production car with an electric motor – the Toyota TMG EV P001 – to crack the record for an EV. Nurburgring regular Jochen Krumbach took the Toyota Motorsport EV P001 round the 20.8km Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in a blistering 7m 47.794s, annihilating the previous record of 9m 1.388s.
