Purchaser To Receive:

Fuel-Injected ferocity for performance cars of all ages! What do you get when you take Chevrolet Performance’s aggressive ASA camshaft – developed for the high-rpm world of circle-track racing – and slip it into an LS3 6.2L engine? The answer is 525 horsepower in one of our most powerful production-based crate engines. It is called the LS376/525, and if take-no-prisoner performance is what you’re looking for, this is the motor for you!

The ASA camshaft is a hydraulic roller with .525-inch lift on both sides, along with 226 degrees duration on the intake side and 236 degrees on the exhaust side. Coupled with a tight, 110-degree lobe separation angle, it helps the engine deliver excellent throttle response and breathe exceptionally well at high rpm. And for durability, we complement the cam with higher-rate valve springs.

You’ll need tuning to make the most of the engine in a late-model GM vehicle. If you plan to use the LS376/525 in a vintage car, you’ll need controller kit P/N 19259261, which includes the throttle pedal to match its electronically controlled throttle body. Check out our LS1 Engine Kit Installation Guide P/N 88959384 for details on installing an LS engine in a vintage vehicle.

2013 Suzuki Jimny facelift from £11,995

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

Suzuki has given their evergreen pocket SUV – the Suzuki Jimny – a facelift for 2013, but prices still start at £11,995. Suzuki has been building the little Jimny SUV – in one form or another – since 1970, and the current Jimny has been with us since 1998. But despite the Jimny being from another age, Suzuki aren’t giving up on it yet and have managed to churn out a facelift for 2013.

BMW i3 tops Sunday Times best Electric Cars list

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The BMW i3 EV tops Sunday Times best Electric Cars list Just as they did with the new Range Rover last year, the Sunday Times has declared the new BMW i3 EV the pick of the bunch of electric and hybrid cars on sale in the UK, despite the i3 not yet arriving on UK roads. But there seems a good chance that the Sunday Times have got it right this time too, just as they did with the new Range Rover. The Sunday Times praised BMW for biding its time with the launch of their first electric and range-extender car (the next, the BMW i8 supercar, will arrive in 2014) and said the i3′s big appeal lies not in its cutting edge electric motor or battery technology – because there isn’t any – but in its appeal as a car even without its EV powertrain.

The no-show cars: a reader rant on mad concepts

Wed, 14 Apr 2010

Instigated by Harley Earl at General Motors in the late 30s with the quaintly named Buick Y-Job, show cars, or concept cars, were presented to an excited public eager for new things. As the world recovered from a depression and then a war, these vehicles pointed to a better future that many people believed in, including the people who produced them. And, although many of the concept cars of the 50s, with their Jetsons plexiglass roofs and notional nuclear powered engines seem ludicrous now, in their time they weren’t that cynical.
