Condition:New Brand:Lucas Other Part Number:L824 Manufacturer Part Number:54579290

Lucas amber front sidelamp assembly, which appears to be NOS, used on MG models, a variety of Jaguar XK-Es, Jaguar XJ-6 and 12s, and XJ-Ss, and probably other British Leyland offerings during the 1970s and 80s.  In extremely nice condition but found shelved without the original packaging.  No scuffing or scratches on the lens or chrome surround and the bullet ends of the wires show no evidence of having been inserted into receptacles.  The lamp base carries the number 54579290 and the amber lens is L827.  There is a small bulb forward and a reflector at the rear of the lens.  This example carries a tag on the lens that says "R.H." though the lamp appears to be fully symmetrical and usable for either side, unless mounting studs are different for a specific application.  In this example, the rear stud is on center one inch from the rear of the lamp base and the two studs are two inches apart on center.

Buyers are responsible for confirming this item is correct for their application prior to completing the sale.

Vauxhall VXR8 Tourer revealed: Price from £49,500

Thu, 28 Mar 2013

Vauxhall has revealed the Estate version of the VXR8 – the Vauxhall VXR8 Tourer – which offers oodles of room and 425bhp. That sort of power in an estate car certainly offers a different experience to regular load-luggers with 0-62mph coming up in a slightly silly 4.9 seconds. But, despite looking a bit past its prime even though it’s a new model, the VXR8 Tourer gets a reasonably sophisticated setup with McPherson Strut with progressive coils at the front and a multi-link setup at the back, launch control and a limited slip diff, all conspiring to try and put the VXR8 Tourer’s 425bhp power down through the rear wheels.
