What I have is a pair of butterfly-type throttle bodies with Lucas mechanical injector nozzle bungs and a Lucas metering unit drive for a Ford Kent block. I do not have the complete system, only the parts shown in the photos. They came to me with a lot of Lucas spares, but I have no idea what they were being used on. These are set up for cable actuation, with one cable going to the throttle bodies and another coming out to drive the metering unit cam. The throttle bodies have the same dimensions and bolt pattern as Weber DCOE carbs, so they could be used on any engine that ran DCOEs. The bores and butterflies are 36mm in diameter. The throttle bodies have the number "TC 621" cast into them and the metering unit drive parts are "TC 609" and "TC 610", but I have no idea who made them. The parts for actuating the metering unit cam via cable are included. I have a used 6mm Lucas MkII 4-cylinder metering unit available separately. If you think I am asking too much, make me an offer, but I don't see how you could reproduce these parts for the price I am asking.

New Hyundai Genesis heading for the UK?

Sun, 15 Sep 2013

Is the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis (pictured) heading for the UK as the new Hyundai Genesis? The Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis Concept arrived at the Detroit Auto Show in January and, concept fripperies apart, previewed the next generation of the Hyundai that wants to be a Korean Lexus – the Hyundai Genesis. The Hyundai Genesis has been selling like hot cakes in the Land of the Free for some time, but until now it wasn’t a car Hyundai felt had a place in its UK line-up.

Porsche Panamera hits the heights in Shanghai

Wed, 22 Apr 2009

A Porsche Panamera on its way to the 94th floor of the World Financial Centre in Shanghai [ad#ad-1] The stories of car makers doing daft things with cars to garner a bit of publicity have been rarer of late. Which, considering the sombre mood of car makers and the car buying public in recent months, is no real surprise. Even Motor Shows have been relatively sombre affairs (the Detroit Motor Show was particularly muted in 2009), but China is still booming, and the Shanghai Motor Show has been pretty much an old fashioned, glitzy affair.
