The 900hp Ford Mustang GT as seen in the latest Need for Speed movie has sold at an auction in the US for $300,000 – that’s roughly £180,000. Unfortunately, the winning bidder might be disappointed to find out that in real life it doesn’t make anywhere near the 900hp claimed in the film, instead running a stock 420hp. Fiat 500 UK Charity boost

One of the Fiat 500s donated by Fiat and decorated by Damian Hirst which were auctioned for the ARK Charity Over the course of a couple of days this week six Fiat 500s have been donated by Fiat for charity auctions and raised almost £500,000 in to the process. Which, cute and interesting as the Fiat 500 is, does sound rather a lot. After all, even the new Fiat 500C retails (in pop spec) at just over £11k.

Volkswagen has just announced that Walter de'Silva, 55, has been appointed Head of Volkswagen Group Design. Since March 2002, de'Silva has been Head of Design at the now discontinued Audi brand group. There, in addition to supervising the Audi brand design, he was also in charge of Seat and Lamborghini.
