Mazda 6 facelift (2010) first official pictures

Tue, 26 Jan 2010

After 5 comes 6, so with the all-new Mazda 5 recently announced, up next is a revised version of the Japanese car company's family saloon. The facelifted Mazda 6, like the 5, will be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva motor show in March. The front and rear lights have been tweaked, and the 6's nose now features a huge, Insignia-aping slash of chrome across the grille.

Frankfurt 2011: New Vauxhall Astra GTC (2012) debut

Thu, 15 Sep 2011

Vauxhall Astra GTC finally arrives at Frankfurt The Vauxhall Astra GTC (and its European equivalent Opel GTC) finally gets to go on public view at Frankfurt this week, a year after it arrived as a concept at Paris. The Astra GTC is a decent looking effort from Vauxhall – as is the regular Astra – designed to take the fight to cars like the Scirroco.

RCA team helps develop all-electric London taxi proposal

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design program and the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design have collaboratedwith Turkish car manufacturer Karsan to develop a proposal for the first all-electric London taxi. An RCA team – co-led by Professor Dale Harrow and the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design's deputy director Rama Gheerawo – has been working with Karsan and its consultancy Hexagon Studio for over a year and to develop a public transport vehicle to suit Londoners of all ages and abilities. The team analyzed a current London taxi in a ‘co-creation workshop' and conducted interviews with taxi drivers, which showed many are over 65 and frequently spend the entire working day inside their cabs.
