This is a special hydraulic roller camshaft ground on a new Ford Motor Company hardened steel core which has been especially designed to be compatible with vehicles needing more torque & power and/or highway towing mileage. Fits-in well with stock OEM or mildly modifies cylinder heads.
Can also be used with speed density fuel injection while still using the O.E.M. production ECU. Has a slight torque improvement from a factory Explorer roller camshaft with more horsepower than a factory 302 H.O. or Cobra roller camshaft. Specs are - 259/264 at .006" - 206/213 at .050" - 125/130 at .200" - .313"/.309" cam LOBE lift - .501"/.494" valve lift, (with 1.6/1 OEM rocker arm ratio) - 114 Separation; 115 Intake lobe center-line. Valve events at .050" = Intake open -12 BTDC close 38 ABDC Exhaust open 39.5 BBDC close -6.5 ATDC Can be used successfully with O.E.M. valve train components but, improved valve springs are recommended for higher RPM usage.
