Item is a very clean vintage license plate frame / plateframe from an old line SoCal Chevy dealership, 'M K Smith' of Chino. Condition is very clean, with nice detail and patinated chrome with no breaks or damage, and only slight pitting. Will polish up nicely and be suitable for use on a nice car as is or is very restoreable if you need a perfect bit. Has a very clean and nice vintage look for your '50's through '70's Chevy. Aston Martin Zagato, Alfa Romeo take honors at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
Mon, 23 May 2011A 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale won the Trofeo BMW Group, given by the judges for the best in show at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, over the weekend. The Coppa d’Oro, for best in show as voted by the public, went to a 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato, created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous DB4 GT Zagato, won a design award for Best Concept Car or Prototype.
VW Golf R 400 could get more than 400PS – which makes a bit of a nonsense of its name
Mon, 12 May 2014The VW Golf R 400 (pictured) may not actually be an R 400 The Beijing Motor Show last month saw the debut of the VW Golf R 400, an extreme take on the VW Golf R with a full 400 PS (395bhp) at its disposal. When Volkswagen revealed the R 400 as a concept we did note that it looked more production-ready than concept, and it took VW less than a week to confirm that the Golf R 400 was indeed heading for production. Now, just to muddy the waters a bit (or raise expectations), VW’s R&D chief Heinz-Jakob Neusser has said that when the Golf R 400 does arrive it could well be with more than 400PS.
