From MAC Tools product launch article:

Many scope users find it frustrating to rely on scope meters that don't provide accurate information vital to solving numerous automotive problems. The new Mac® Automotive Scope Meter is designed to solve diagnostic problems that electronic engineers and technicians experience by providing them with 46 unique, high-performance testing abilities. (See list on page 2.)

The new Mac® Automotive Scope Meter has a combined two channel lab scope and full function true RMS multimeter. In dual channel mode, the automotive scope meter records at 25 MS/s for real-time diagnosis and analysis (50 MS/s in single channel mode). There are 50, stored reference waveforms and 8 user-defined waveform memory locations built in the Mac® Automotive Scope Meter to assist technicians in the diagnostic process.

The Mac® Automotive Scope Meter is as easy to use as it is efficient. Its 3.5" supertwist LCD display offers high-resolution graphics that improve readability for viewing displays on the waveform screen. The built-in backlight feature provides increased visibility from up close or at a distance where visibility could be problematic. Equipped with a 4.8V NiMH battery, it provides 4 hours of continuous operation without the hassle or distraction of recharging during tough jobs.

The Mac® Automotive Scope Meter is also designed with a super-wide 1 MHz bandwidth to enhance testing and reporting capabilities. The built-in help files offer step-by-step assistance with many diagnostic tests and procedures. With software and a bi-directional cable included, the RS-232C is a simple way to save diagnostic analysis and print waveform documents.

"Technicians need to be provided with an easy solution to diagnostic analysis," said Lee Carman, Buyer for Mac Tools. "Users of the new Automotive Scope Meter will not only notice how reliable it is, they will see it is an ideal tool that increases productivity."

The Mac® Automotive Scope Meter is available from your local Mac Tools distributor, or by calling Mac Tools at 1-800-MAC-TOOLS.

McLaren Automotive Launch – LIVE on Cars UK

Sun, 28 Feb 2010

McLaren Press Conference Live on Cars UK I know, it’s more than a year since we reported that Ron Dennis was stepping down from his involvement in McLaren F1 to ‘Spend more time with the Family New Cars’ and almost a year since we reported that McLaren Automotive was being created as an independent company. So it seems a little odd to run a headline that says ‘McLaren Automotive Launch‘ when we’ve known about it for a year. But that year has been a busy one for Ron Dennis and the team at Woking.

Chrysler recalls Wrangler, Compass and Patriot

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

Chrysler Group said today it will recall more than 220,000 units of the Jeep Wrangler to fix a transmission flaw and 409,000 units of the Jeep Compass and Patriot worldwide to fix a software glitch that could stop airbags and seatbelts from working in a crash. The recalls add to a growing list of safety problems at Chrysler, which stunned the auto industry this week by taking the rare step of rebuffing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. On Tuesday, Chrysler refused to recall 2.7 million units of the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-07 Jeep Liberty, claiming that the vehicles were built in compliance with safety standards and are not more accident-prone than other vehicles of the time.
