Kia Picanto (2011): more pics and spec
Tue, 25 Jan 2011Kia has published some engine details and new photos of its replacement 2011 Picanto, which goes on sale in late spring. The new Picanto will be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show on 1 March. It's a bigger model than the outgoing city car - the longer wheelbase liberating a quarter more boot space to answer criticisms of a cramped luggage bay.

What better solution than something mixing the design class of a Bentley with the snow-covering ability of a downhill toboggan? Bentley designers John Paul Gregory imagined a futuristic Santa Azure Sleigh (complete with rifled tailpipes and exposed Bentley Blitzen powerplant), while Yunwoo Jeong turned the Continental GTC cabrio into a sleigh with quad-outrigged headlamps and begoggled Santa.

Which made us conclude – when Mercedes announced it was adding a fifth model to its production line at it Alabama plant in the U.S. – that the car they would be churning out would be the M-Class Coupe.
